As an Herbalife distributor you own your own business. Like any business owner you are always on the lookout for more ways to promote your product and/or services that you offer in the marketplace.
You’ve probably noticed that a lot of companies use blogging to sell more products and to engage more with their customers.
But you might be wondering how they do that.
If you’ve purchased a product online recently then you’ve probably received an email from the company that includes a link to their most recent blog post that offers a solution for “xyz”.
The basic idea is that the company provides value within the blog post (information, advice steps to accomplish “xyz” etc…) for the customer and then they link to a product that would be helpful to the customer in the blog post.
So, we’re going to show you how to use a blog to promote your Herbalife business & how to get started today!
As an Herbalife distributor, there are 2 ways you can start generating more Herbalife customers through blogging today…
Option #1- Create an HBZoom Account That Has Done-For-You Blog Posts & More!
One of the best ways that you can promote your Herbalife business is through HBZoom, our proven marketing system that has all of the sales funnels and tools tailored for Herbalife distributors, specifically, (available to market your biz in 10 countries!) you need to grow your customer base and to help you recruit for the business too.

So to get started today using blog posts to promote your Herbalife business you just need to copy & paste your done-for-you blog post links that are inside your HBZoom account. (If you haven’t set up your account yet you can do that here.)
As an example…Here is a link to one of the done-for-you blog posts that we put up for our HBZoom users ⇒ https://leader.hbzoom.com/blog/healthy-fast-food
It gives the reader value with 5 tips for making smart choices, and then it offers them a way to try out your “favorite shake” in the form of a 3 Day Trial Pack.
You’ll also notice that there are a couple of banners on the side of the blog post promoting the 3 Day Trial Pack as well.
And at the bottom of the post it invites the reader to connect with you via your Health & Fitness Newsletter to get more tips on health & nutrition (all done-for-you inside of HBZoom).
If you like these types of posts all you have to do is create your HBZoom account if you haven’t already⇒ copy & paste your links to start promoting your Herbalife business today!
Plus, you’ll have all of the other sales funnels and marketing tools to help you promote your business on top of that!
Option #2- Setup Your Own Personal Blog
This option definitely requires more work on your part, but you have total flexibility in the content that you create and you can dig deeper into branding yourself as an Herbalife nutrition coach.
We give you our 5 easy steps to get started today with your blog below, but if you already know yourself and that you want to dive in and go fast by eliminating some of the learning curve you’ll want to check out this course!
This is by far the best course for launching your blog, and it will walk you through every detail step by step.
Okay, on to the 5 easy steps to start your blog today!
5 Easy Steps To Get Started Today With Your Personal Blog
#1 Give Your Blog a Name + Clarify Your Niche
This should be the easiest & fun part too! The best way to truly connect with people is to really be passionate and authentic about what you choose to write about.
You’re an Herbalife coach so that already helps you pick your broad category: health and wellness (product side) and/or earning more income as a coach (business recruiting side).
Now you need to dive a little bit deeper, or niche down, as they say, to truly make your blog unique and to speak authentically to a specific audience.
Ask yourself these questions to just get the creative juices flowing:
-What do I love sharing with people most about the Herbalife products (or business opportunity)?
-Do you love fitness? Or better yet…do you love a certain type of fitness? Like yoga…or crossfit…or dance..or maybe you like a few different types of workouts? So maybe your blog will focus on workouts (whichever type of workout is your fave!) and fueling your body with the right foods and supplements (Herbalife products) for optimal performance and results.
-Did you have an amazing weight loss transformation and you love coaching others to do the same? This could be a blog where you share encouragement for people’s weight loss journeys, weight loss advice/tips, etc…You would share your journey and invite people to start their own journey with Herbalife products.
-Are you super passionate about the business side of things? So maybe you want to truly show people how they can make a living online as an Herbalife coach. This would be more of a lifestyle type blog (healthy lifestyle, travel etc…)
-Do you love healthy recipes (food) and making great amazing shakes? You could blog about your favorite healthy food recipes and your favorite shake recipes (with your Herbalife products, obviously)
-Do you love skin care/beauty etc…? You can definitely write about the outer nutrition products that Herbalife has to offer and also about how important it is to fuel your body with the best nutrition for healthy skin (think healthy diet with Herbalife supplements products…Collagen Beauty Booster etc…)
Did that give some ideas?! If not…Keep thinking about what you love and what’s authentic for you to share and give value to your audience.
Then you just need to give your blog a name! It may just be your name “JohnSmith.com”. Or it may be something clever you’ve come up with.
Don’t get too hung up on the name of your blog as you could always change it down the road. But if you’re really wanting to build a personal brand then your name is always a great bet.
Plus, using your name will give you flexibility to change up your topics that you write about as you grow in your journey.
For example, let’s say you get injured (God forbid) in a marathon and you have to totally change the way you workout moving forward. If your blog is called “John’s Marathons” you’ll have to change the name. I’m not saying this is an amazing blog title…It’s just an example 🙂
This is not to discourage you from a very specific blog name, just some food for thought!
But remember, don’t spend too much time agonizing over the perfect name. You want to start taking action & creating content so you can promote your business as quickly as possible.
#2 Purchase Your Domain
Once you’ve decided on your niche & your name you’ll want to purchase your domain name for your blog.
This is pretty quick & painless! We like to use GoDaddy to purchase all of our domains.
They’ve got 24/7 customer service so it’s nice to know they can help you any day any time!
If you head to our referral link you can get a domain for $4.99!!
Things to note:
- .com url’s are still the best if you can get it! It’s still the most recognizable format
- Don’t choose a crazy long domain as that makes it super easy for people to make typos and they may not be able to find your blog or remember it easily. A general rule of thumb is no more than 3-4 words max (ex: https://dogsarethebest.com)…The shorter the better!
- Search on GoDaddy to make sure your domain is available (remember, you’re looking for “.com”)
- Purchase your domain
- Then…head to step #3 below to set up your hosting. We’ll get back to your domain soon in Step #3!
#3 – Set Up Hosting
The most common hosting site for bloggers is BlueHost.
They have a great service with chat & 24/7 customer service via phone.
Plus, they’re really affordable, which I love especially if you’re just starting out with your blog. I like to save money any place I can!
If you’re new to websites your site needs hosting. Think of hosting as the electric company for the electricity in your home. Your website needs to be hosted somewhere (BlueHost) so that your website is turned on & ready to go.
Quick Steps For Hosting:
- Make sure to sign up for your website hosting at Bluehost.
You can select any of the hosting packages (basic, plus, or choiceplus)…Basic will do just fine or you can opt for a few more bells & whistles with the biggest package.
- Enter your domain (you purchased this in Step #2) in the box that says “use a domain you own”
- Then you’ll continue through the site to enter your account information, card information etc…You should be given an option to choose “domain privacy protection”…it’s usually around $.99/month. We would recommend that!
There are lots of other extras they offer you to add on, but you definitely don’t need
them unless you want them.
- Lastly…check out this quick video on how to install WordPress for your domain. Then you’re all set…
You officially have a blog! CONGRATS!
Now it’s time to do some simple aesthetics and get to work writing amazing content and promoting your business.
#4 Design Your Blog (easy WordPress templates + simple logo)
Now, when we say “design” your blog…Don’t freak out! WordPress has some amazing themes (designs) for your blog and make it pretty simple to get a great looking site.
There are tons of free wordpress themes, but if you want a little more flexibility and additional options you can always opt for a paid theme (totally not necessary but some people enjoy the extra options & customizations).
You can check out a ton of themes on WordPress.com if you want to just get an idea of the design layout you’re after!
Design Steps:
- Get familiar with WordPress
If you’re not familiar with WordPress it’s time to become friends if you’re going to have a blog…Sometimes the best way to learn something is just to dig in and look through it all.
But if you want a little help you can check out these short tutorials that walk you through WordPress.
- Design a simple logo on Canva.com
You do not have to have some elaborate logo. Honestly, these days, simplicity is what people want to see in your logo, and your site to be honest.
So even if you just do a simple text logo in a great (legible) font…That totally works!
We use Canva.com ALL THE TIME for our blog and other businesses.
It’s so great. I’d highly recommend checking it out. It will work great for a logo, photos for your blog, creating social media images, and so much more.
Or if you really want someone to “design” something for you on a budget you could hire someone on fiverr to make you a quick simple logo.
There is a real tendency for all of us to get stuck in this design phase, trying to make it perfect before we get started. Do NOT stay here.
You need to start writing content for your audience so you can start giving value, promoting your business, and making money! On to your final step!
#5 Start Writing + Start Making Money With Your Blog!
It’s really surprising to me that I actually enjoy writing. I always hated writing papers in school. But when you’re writing about something you’re passionate about and just being yourself it can be truly fulfilling.
Plus, you’re helping people by giving them value and offering to help in their journey.
Writing Tips:
- Write your “About Me” page first! BUT it shouldn’t be all about you.
“What do you mean it shouldn’t be about me? It’s the About Me page!”
You’re totally right. The About Me page should give an introduction to who you are, but it should focus more on the reader. This doesn’t need to be (and shouldn’t be) an elaborate, long-winded post about you and all of your accomplishments in life.
Sure you may mention some of your accolades and accomplishments that help lend credibility to you as an expert in your niche, but the reader should always be your focus.
The truth is when people don’t know you yet they really don’t “care” about you. They want to know what’s in it for them if they choose to read your blog and follow you.
So that’s what you want to focus on: tell them who you are and a little of what you’ve done (add your testimonial), but tell them what they’re going to get and how you’re going to help them.
Make sense?!
Later in your relationship with your audience, when you’re more established and they can “trust” you, they will care more about just you!
- Write your 1st official blog post
Don’t worry too much about what this first post is. You just want it to be something that is authentic to you and is what your readers want to hear. It’s not like 2 years down the road people are going to look at your first post and say, “Oh my gosh…I can’t believe they wrote about “this” for their first post”.
Nobody cares lol!
You’ll be adding more content as you go along in your blog journey so get to writing & hit publish!
If you feel like you need some help writing your blog posts: the ideas, the content, the structure etc…
You’ll definitely want to check out this launch your blog business course. Alex & Lauren do an amazing job of helping you with this! Some people are natural writers and some just need a little more work and guidance.
Either way, I can promise you that even if you don’t feel like a “great” writer you can be with a little practice and some help along the way.
Tips to Making Money With Your Blog:
- Keep the content coming!
Before you really launch your blog (and to start making money) it’s ideal to have some posts up and published so that you look legit…Because you are 🙂
Aim for at least 10-15 posts! Twenty is even better.
- Promote your Herbalife products & Herbalife business through your blog posts
As an Herbalife distributor your main focus of making money via your blog is, most likely, with your personal Herbalife business (promoting individual products, challenges, and recruiting).
You’ll be linking individual products with your personal GoHerbalife links within your posts.
For example, you could write a post about your favorite pre-workout routine and include your GoHerbalife links to the pre-workout, and even put a section in there about getting started with a 3 day trial pack, and that you’ll be their coach etc…
(If you have an HBZoom account it can be very helpful to increase sales etc as HBZoom has many sales funnels created and done for you to promote your products, challenge pages, 3 day trial funnels, and business recruiting pages on your blog).
- Promote other non-competing lifestyle products
You could promote some of your favorite lifestyle products that go alongside your Herbalife lifestyle & business.
For example, your favorite blender to make shakes, vitamin box, etc…You won’t get rich by linking affiliate products or through Amazon Affiliates ,but you can definitely do it!
A few other ideas: favorite workout gear such as.clothing, yoga mat, water bottles, etc…The types of products are truly endless depending on your niche and what you personally use and recommend.
Taking action on these 5 steps will have you well on your way to having your blog setup so you can start promoting your business today!
Launching a blog definitely takes work, but in our opinion, is definitely worth it to help you promote your business whether you use HBZoom with its built-in blog features and sales funnels or you decide to create your own personal blog.
But, if you really want to learn how to set up your personal blog to help promote your Herbalife business and get there FAST this is the best blogging course to help you do that.
This course walks you through step by step on exactly how to launch your blog business by some people who truly know what they’re talking about.

Their first blog TOTALLY FAILED. But, they got back up & decided to try again.
Now, a few short years later, as of January 2021, they earned $135,985.02 for the month of January with their blog. It’s crazy!
$100k per month is an awesome number, and totally possible. But…What if your blog helped you grow your business for an extra $1,000 a month? Or more? Wouldn’t that be worth it even for $1,000 per month?
They have truly learned what NOT to do and show you exactly what to do to launch your own blog business.

P.S…If you want to use your personal blog + HBZoom to maximize your business promotion keep reading…
If you have an HBZoom account already (or you’re going to get one) you can incorporate your sales funnels into your blog as different lead magnets to be even more powerful in the marketplace.
Just a few examples:
- If you’re interested in recruiting you could create one of your menu tabs on your personal blog that says “Start Here- Become A Wellness Coach”.
You would then link your personal HBZoom Become A Wellness Coach site to that tab and then the page will do the “selling and the telling for you”.
- You could also link your Wellness Profile site to a tab on your menu bar that says “Free Meal Plan & Supplement Guide”.
Obviously, they would fill out the wellness profile (the profile gets sent automatically to your email inbox) and as an Herbalife coach you would send them back your version of a meal plan & supplement guide that would suit the customer best based on the info they provided you in the wellness profile from your HBZoom site.
- Or you could link your 3 day trial site to a tab on the menu bar that says something like “Try 3 Days” or “Get Started Here!”
It’s totally up to you.
Those are just a few examples of the many things you can do to sync your personal blog with HBZoom. But I think you can see there are lots of ways to incorporate your HBZoom sites into your personal blog to multiply your impact.
We wish you the best in your business!
